Out of bed and onto the slopes of the legendary Sellaronda – that’s the motto on winter holiday with children in Wolkenstein. While you whizz down the mountain, your children from 2 years of age are well looked after in the ski school.

Freestyling is your thing? Then you’ll have twice the fun in Wolkenstein: in the Snow & Funpark Sassolungo on the Piz Sella and on the Funslope Selva in the Dantercepies/Risaccia ski area.

Hollywood has the Walk of Fame but Wolkenstein has the Ski Champions Walk. Get on the winning track and learn a lot of interesting facts about the history, the winners, and the pioneers of this winter sport.

Choo, choo says the train, or better, the Sëlva Express sightseeing train that take you through the picturesque village to the beautiful Vallunga/Langental in the summer months. Full speed ahead!

Put the helmet on your head, tighten the climbing harness, and hook in the carabiner – the climbing adventure in Vallunga/Langental can begin. A children’s climbing course in the unspoilt Dolomite valley takes you high up in the mountains.

Like an eagle’s nest, the ruins of Wolkenstein Castle are nestled in the imposing rock face. An easy hiking trail leads below the Stevia walls first to the Silvester Chapel and then on to the ruins.

An absolutely unique city trip awaits you on Sella Pass. Here below the Sassolungo/Langkofel lies the mysterious Stone City, through which the informative Naturonda theme path leads.

A good tip – not only in bad weather – is the Sport Center in Wolkenstein, where you can hit the mark with bowling, indoor golf, table soccer, or table tennis.

Those who want to become a HERO Südtirol Dolomites will have to practice early on. There are plenty of mountain bike routes, such as the Family Trail to Plan de Gralba, the Easy Jump Line downhill route, or the Family Tour in Val d’Anna/Annatal.
