The Gilfenklamm near Sterzing

Excitement and adventure in the marble gorge

Have you ever seen a gorge made of marble? The Gilfenklamm near Sterzing is the only one of its kind in Europe. An adventure for everyone!

In the north, near the family hotels in Valle Isarco/Eisacktal and not far from the Brenner Pass, is the Gilfenklamm gorge near Sterzing. Here the water has impressively dug itself into the rock over the millennia. It is easy and safe to walk on the newly built wooden footbridges–- an exciting experience not only for your children!

It's worth it, because down there the thunderous Ratschings stream thunders against the rocks and gives them that very special touch. Framed by high cliffs, the only marble gorge in Europe offers unforgettable exciting moments.
