Hit the trails in Val Senales/Schnalstal!

A hike in Val Senales/Schnalstal is varied and offers fantastic panoramic views. There’s plenty to keep kids entertained, too.

When you and your family come to South Tyrol for your mountain biking holidays in the Alps, enjoying a hike through nature is an absolute must. Here with us in Val Senales/Schnalstal, you can look forward to panoramic trails, exciting facts, and lively history. How about a tour to Lafetz Alm mountain hut at Unser Frau? The hike takes around two hours, and you’ll conquer an elevation difference of 500 metres. The hut is located at 2,015 metres above sea level and offers spectacular views of Similaun, the Ötztal Alps, and the Ötzi discovery site. If you wish, you can also extend your tour by heading up to Mastaun Alm mountain hut and Mastaunpichele, which offers impressive mountain views. The highlight for children: the Val Senales/Schnalstal hiking pin. You can collect points at participating huts in Val Senales/Schnalstal and – depending on your points score – earn the hiking pin in bronze, silver, or gold. You can get your hiking pin at the tourist office in Karthaus.
