Rudi the Reindeer says hello! Visit the world’s smallest reindeer herd on Croda Rossa/Rotwand. Every Thursday you can even feed the inhabitants from the far north.

On the alp, there’s a lot of fun! Especially at the Children’s Alp on Monte Baranci/Helm with a replica of a farm, alpine huts, farm animals to pet, water games, swings, and slides.

Wanna have a really good time? In the Altschluderbach wildlife park you will encounter deer, fallow deer, red deer, lynx, mouflons, wild boars, pheasants, eagle owls, snowy owls, raccoons, ducks, geese, and many other animals.

Once upon a time there was a family who liked to hike in search of the perfect path. After a long search they found it: The Fable and Fairy Tale Trail in Sexten. An excursion for young and old.

Taking a selfie with the giant snowmen, taking a few turns on Rudi Reindeer’s ski trail, daring to jump on the family fun slope, and whizzing down to the valley on a toboggan – all this is possible on the Croda Rossa/Rotwand ski area.

Get on the saddle! Ready? Go! On the Drau cycle path, you can cycle very comfortably from Sexten to Lienz in Austria. Then you can return to Lienz by train. A sporting experience for the whole family.

Die-hard mountain bikers get excited when they hear the word Stoneman. In Sexten a children’s version also exists with a treasure to be found on about 14 bike kilometres. It remains exciting until the end.

A very special spot on earth is the unspoilt Val Fiscalina/Fischleintal in Sexten with its rustic alpine pastures, peaceful larch forests, and imposing rock faces. Discover this gem for yourself!

It is one of the darkest chapters in human history: World War I. One of the battlegrounds was Croda Rossa/Rotwand, where today you can find the Bellum Aquilarum open-air museum, which is well worth seeing.
