The top ten toboggan runs according to your hosts
With so many options, it's hard to choose. Which is why we, the hosts of Familienhotels Südtirol, personally reveal to you the toboggan runs that we ourselves love.
Ladurns
Easy as child’s play is not only the ascent with the chairlift, but also the descent on the 6.5-kilometre-long and snowy family toboggan run in the Ladurns ski area.
Allriss-Alm
Would you like to combine an idyllic winter hike with a speedy toboggan descent? Then head to the Allriss-Alm in Val di Fleres/Pflerschtal. After a well-deserved break, the forest road leads you back to the valley.
Ratschings-Jaufen
There’s no stopping you after the ascent with the gondola lift. No wonder, because the toboggan run in the Ratschings-Jaufen ski area leads on 5km back to the valley station.
Monte Cavallo/Rosskopf
You can toboggan day and night on the Monte Cavallo/Rosskopf, the local mountain of Sterzing. The 10-kilometre-long run is the longest illuminated toboggan track in Italy and has been awarded the grade “very good” by the ADAC.
Brimi Winter Run
The 6.75 km long Brimi Winter Run on the Gitschberg near Meransen, which leads in two stages from the Nesselhütte down to the sunny mountain village, also promises endless tobogganing fun.
Valle di Altafossa/Altfasstal
In the quiet Valle di Altafossa/Altfasstal near Meransen, the tobogganing excursion leads to the Moserhütte, which is closed in winter. After an easy hike, you can start the five-kilometre-long journey back to the valley by toboggan.
Fane Alm
A very special magic encompasses the Fane Alm near Vals, which in winter can only be reached on foot. How good that a 1.3 km long, winding natural toboggan run leads from the alpine village back to the starting point.
Vals-Jochtal
The easy and family-friendly toboggan run, which leads from the Anratterhütte in the Vals-Jochtal ski area through the wintery forest to Spinges, is not only loved by children.
RudiRun Plose
RudiRun is the name of the 9-kilometre-long toboggan run on the Plose near Brixen. A real must for all those who love speed. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, try the 2.5-kilomtre-long toboggan hike to the Rossalm.
