A simple handicraft tutorial

Advent, as we all know, is a time of waiting. To help make this time sweeter for you and your children, create fun Advent calendars.

For example: how about a reindeer made of two wooden spoons and some felt? Saw the head off one of the wooden spoons and attach it in a T shape to the other wooden spoon, which should be fixed to a wooden board or something similar with the head at the top. Give the reindeer antlers, ears, a tuft of hair, and a nose made of coloured felt or coloured paper – brown, grey, red, green ... whatever you like can be used. To keep the reindeer warm, make a scarf and gloves out of felt. Glue the gloves to the ends of the horizontal wooden spoon and wrap the scarf around its neck. Just stick googly eyes on your reindeer and the advent calendar is ready! Hang little packages with sweets and all kinds of goodies on the reindeer’s arms and number them. Near the Dolomites in Italy, our accommodation is also being busily decorated for Christmas and we’re preparing for the most peaceful time of the year.
