A fun-filled weekend

The 19thannual Children’s Festival in Bolzano

Mark your calendars for 12-15 September, because …

… it’s the weekend of the Children’s Festival in Bolzano – and it’s already the 19th edition! As every year, it will be held in the garden of the Sparkasse Foundation and on the Talfer Promenade. The mission of the Children’s Festival: Kids can explore amazing natural wonders and learn about smart choices with their families and friends, all while enjoying fun shows and trying new things.
Certain programme items have become a tradition at the Children’s Festival, including puppet shows, magic shows, craft workshops, dance courses and workshops, and clown performances. There’s always something to laugh about in the circus tent, and the puppet theatre also ensures a great atmosphere. South Tyrolean farmers show both children and parents how felt is made. In between, there are also small concerts, for example by BandaStorta or the Bobby Duo. New this year is the Teatro Cristallo, which invites you to Circo Madeira, while Cristallo Young offers handicrafts as well as a fun Sunday surprise and various workshops with the KFS, Aviva4Wellness, and MurX Theater & Academy. An absolute highlight is geocaching in the afternoon. Of course, there’s also a lot to learn, for example from the Museion (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art), the Biblioteca Civica (public library), or the alpha beta piccadilly (language school). The complete programme can be found online.
For the small and large hunger in between, there are burgers and more at the KINDERgasthaus PIMS. On top of that, there is a large VKE raffle with fantastic prizes, such as stays on a South Tyrolean farm or in one of the South Tyrol family hotels.
The Children’s Festival is open on Thursday and Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, so don’t miss out on this event and visit the Children’s Festival with your kids!
