Following the traces of apples
Apple Trail in Dorf Tirol
Do you want to learn more about South Tyrolean apples? We have the perfect tip for you: the Apple Trail in Dorf Tirol.
South Tyrol without apple trees? Unthinkable! Vineyards, forests, meadows, and apple orchards … that’s the typical South Tyrolean landscape. Numerous hiking trails lead past the flowering orchards. We would like to recommend one in particular: the apple trail in Dorf Tirol – two steps away from our hotel. While walking along the easy and educational family hiking trail, you’ll learn a lot of interesting facts about the fruit and the history of this area. Step by step, stop after stop, you’ll become a real apple-growing expert. Starting from the village centre of Dorf Tirol, walk along the well-signposted trail to St. Rupert’s Church. Next, follow Lingweg street until you reach Via del Seminario, then turn right towards the power plant. Continue left to Auer Castle and then to the Hochmuth mountain lift. Afterwards, Falknerweg trail will take you back to your starting point.
Our ski accommodation in the Dolomites is the ideal starting point for a long list of hikes.
