We have a special tip for you: Visit the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in Meran even in late summer!  The splendour isn’t over in August, as Meran’s exotic and native plants continue to bloom long into the season. Embark on a journey through the four garden worlds, discovering captivating viewpoints, the glasshouse teeming with curious creatures, the botanical underworld, and the terraces. As autumn approaches, Trauttmansdorff transforms into a stage for exciting events that you won't want to miss. Here’s a glimpse of what to expect:

  • Accessibility Day: On 7 September, they’re hosting a day dedicated to individuals with disabilities, completely free of charge. Immerse yourselves in the beauty of the gardens and enjoy a day tailored to your needs.
  • Choir Day: On 22 September, the harmonious melodies fill the air as various South Tyrolean choirs grace the garden landscapes of Trauttmansdorff Castle, creating a truly special ambiance.
  • Fall Family Day: Mark your calendars for 6 October, as this day is dedicated to families! Join our garden guides on an exciting quest to uncover the answers to intriguing questions, such as: Why do leaves change colour in autumn? What fruits ripen when? How long do plants bloom?
